All is now set for this year’s Afro-Caribbean Carnival in the East Midland’s city of Leicester. The African-Caribbean Carnival is the biggest carnival in the United Kingdom outside Notting Hill.
This year’s celebration is remarkable as it also commemorates the 200th anniversary of the Abolition of Slave Trade. As usual we are expecting a colourful carnival with all the pomp and pageantry that accompanies the yearly celebration; though some high level local council politics denied us last year’s celebration.
There will be something for everyone during and after the celebration; Caribbean foods, drink, music especially reggae, and our dear Leicester boy ‘Mark Morrison’ of the 90’s ‘return of the mack’ hit will be on stage to thrill the revelers.
Of course, there will be the official carnival after party at the African Caribbean Centre; if you haven’t been to that party you haven’t started. Not to worry, yours sincerely will be sneaking about to bring you highlights of the carnival that will feature dances, music, costumes and foods; I have to warn you some of the contents may be offensive.

Our latest polls result shows that the Great Lions and Lionesses (UNN) are on the prowl. Living true to their names, they are on the loose and nothing ain’t stopping them from clinching the much revered position as the ‘Best of the Best’.
Who will dare the Lions and the Lionesses? Days ago, they seemed like the sleeping giants; but today, they are on the prowl.
Where are the Akokaites? Where have the scholars from Samaru gone?
The clock is ticking and time waits for no one, mobilize your people to ‘Say Now’ and prove yourselves to be the ‘Best of the Best’.

Life, I think involves a lot of negotiation either inwardly within you or outwardly with someone or a group. Ones ability to have his/her way in either case involves lots of skills and practice as the case may be.
Negotiation skills is a vital element in business and have come to become popular amongst MBA’s, thus reports Edinburgh Business School (EBS) that;
Negotiation is one of the most popular electives in the MBA programme. It will take approximately 200 hours of study…
Hence, to give you a peep into “how MBA is relevant to the real-world skills necessary for business, EBS have provided this test that can help you test your negotiation skills”.
